my viewfinder, your moment, our memory.
Welcome to my ‘Book’ page. Here I will break down how I, as your photographer, can make your moments greater. Via my eye and your vision, we can bring every moment to life long past its duration. Through either Film or Digital capture (or a combination of both) we can find a package that works best for your project, socials, or romantic event.

The status quo, Digital photography has many advantages to my general preference in Film. With instant review, practically limitless images, and quick delivery to you, as the client; Digital is safe, simple, and painless. Digital work comes at a lower price tag, as well as shorter delivery times. Please note, my digital kit is limited, with only a single 24mp mirrorless option, as well as a single 24mm lens. Digital work (from me) will require a significantly closer range approach, and may be impractical for Weddings.
*NOTE* all pricing below is an estimate. further discussion can raise or lower the price. Price will not change after consultation.
| Digital Portraiture : 10 labor hours (2 travel, 4 shooting, 6 editing) $25.⁰⁰ x 12 = $300.⁰⁰ (negotiable depending on project/travel) | Digital Engagement: 10 labor hours (2 travel, 4 shooting, 6 editing) $25.⁰⁰ x 12 = $300.⁰⁰ (negotiable depending on project/travel) |
| Digital Wedding (PHOTO ONLY): 24 labor hours (2 consultation + planning, 8-12 shooting, 8 editing.) $30.⁰⁰* x 24 = $720.⁰⁰ (Price increase due to increased activity) | Digital Etc. (Video/Editing) : X labor hours (depending on project) $10.⁰⁰ Consultation. |

My bread and butter for capturing moments in time, Film photography is as beautiful as it is timeless. Despite its short comings, requiring lengthy development and each image costing something; film is undeniably unique. From dozens of unique filmstocks (of which you can choose between!), to gorgeous lenses; I have built my portfolio almost entirely via Film for a reason. There is a filmic feeling I could attempt to explain, but I implore you to view my portfolio page and make a choice based on that feeling. The pricetag of film is significant, being that each ‘roll’ of film must be purchased separately, then developed and scanned professionally. My film options span 35mm and 120mm, using only the best kit. As a client, you can pay for a few rolls of film alongside your digital work, for a per roll price. Prices remain the same for my time when shooting film as digital, and I will mix film images into your shoot if you decide to have both mediums.
*NOTE* Development/delivery times are based on the lab’s workload. I do not have control over development times. View thedarkroom.com for more information.

Blake is the most professional photographer I’ve worked with but I can tell they care about telling their subjects’ stories as more than just a trade: Blake is an artist. Their dedication to the craft of film stands out. I really admire how naturally Blake can coax out the essence of the subject without even giving many direct instructions—they just know which questions to ask. I’m very grateful for all the work Blake has done for my project. A majority of my online presence over the last few years has been made up of their pictures, and they even stepped out of their comfort zone to spend many long hours shooting and editing my most complex music video. Eli Orion would be not be the same without Blake Young, and for that I’m endlessly grateful.
